Today I spend the vast majority of the show explaining why the Senate run-off in Georgia is so important. Right now, the Democrats have 50, but would love to make it 51. They have the tie-breaker right now with VP Kamala Harris, but there is a bigger picture here and the Democrats want it.
Remember how Joe Biden wanted the Senate to get rid of the filibuster? He had been a champion of it for almost his entire career as a Democrat until he realized he could not get his way with federalizing elections. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi both know what it would mean for our "democracy" forever more.
The last time they tried, two Democrat senators voted against the elimination of the filibuster, Krysten Sinema and Joe Manchin. That made it a 52-48 vote to keep the filibuster. If the Democrats gain an additional seat, that gets them closer to their ultimate objective – a literal end to our Democracy.
First, they will move to Federalize elections. They will be in charge over how to vote and who gets to count the vote. Second, they will move to make D.C. and Puerto Rico into new states, giving them four more Democrat senators in Congress. Third, they will grant citizenship and voting rights to ever illegal in the United States, making them beholden to the Democrat party for the rest of their lives. And, fourth, they will pack the Supreme Court.
If there was ever a plan to make sure Republicans can never win another election, this is it. When that happens, you have all but ensured the Democrats become the one ruling party over everything. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you ensure the death of our Constitutional Republic.
