The Alan Sanders Show

Jan 30, 2024

Today’s show opens with a reminder that came from Joe Biden right around four years ago. In January of 2020, Biden said that Donald Trump had us on the brink of war with Iran and because of that, no one should vote for him. In essence, Biden’s advice was to not elect someone who has us on the brink of any war. Well, look where we are today! I’d suggest we all heed Biden’s advice and vote for a non-war candidate.

Polling shows nearly 70% of Americans support what Texas is doing to secure the southern border. Yet, with the impeachment proceedings against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas underway, the Left are showing how partisan they plan to be with this issue. It doesn’t matter that nearly three-fourths of the country want a secure border, the Left will not willingly turn on one of their own. Hence we get a silly opening speech from Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS).

In the meantime, Joe Biden is doing what he does best, look to blame everyone else and play political games with the American people. We all need to remind those in our circles of this fact when November rolls around. Biden spent the last three years telling us the Border was closed and now he’s telling us he can’t close the border because of the Republicans. It’s a silly game being played by unserious people.

Victor Davis Hanson pens a piece giving Donald Trump some advice on his tone moving forward. While it is understandable that Trump loves to fire back against his critics, there is a lot at stake heading into 2024. If he really wants to have the ability to put his policies back in place – policies that worked the last time around – he is going to have to play the long game, versus short.

Layoffs are already happening in many companies in the United States. Home Depot did a round and UPS has just announced 12,000 would be cut from their workforce. All of this is happening while Gen-Z’ers and Millennials have invented a term called “Doom Spending.” Apparently this is where you spend money you don’t have for fun times, under the belief that tomorrow’s doom is going to be so bad, it won’t matter if you can’t pay the money back. It’s a very dangerous and ill-advised way to live.

Finally, the little man-child IRS contractor who thought it would be cool to release Donald Trump’s taxes was just sentenced in court. It seems Charles Littlejohn will be going to prison for five years all to prove Donald Trump did nothing wrong on his taxes.
