After more witnesses took the stand in the open inquiry, we noticed the exact same pattern as with week one. Whatever the witness prepared in their opening or were asked by Chairman Schiff would give us one set of headlines to start the day, only to be reversed by the end of the day. Schiff knows a lie makes its way halfway around the world before the truth gets out of bed and he leveraged that to his advantage. Propaganda travels faster than fact and it's to that idea the democrats have pinned their hopes.
I believe democrat leadership has already drafted articles of impeachment. They have gone too far to turn back now and have no choice but to go forward, hoping on a miracle Hail Mary pass. However, if polls are any indicator of current sentiment, the open call for impeachment has begun to crumble and nervous democrats up for re-election may be losing their nerve in continuing the charade. As much as democrats want to believe, presume, wish, think, want, or desire for an impeachable crime to have been committed, in the absence of real evidence, what can they prove? Put simply, the only "presumption" we recognize in our justice system is the presumption of innocence. We do not act on the presumption of guilt.
