Today is the two year anniversary of the passing of Rush Limbaugh. Since it falls on a Friday where I normally thank my followers, I open with a thank you to the radio broadcaster who was a major influence on me. He may be gone, but Rush is not forgotten.
Our first topic today addresses what is both an insensitive and imbecilic comment from Mayor Pete. Our Transportation Secretary has dismissed the New Palestine, Ohio as being taken really too far out of context given we have over 1,000 train derailments annually. Talk about someone without a clue in his Alfred E. Newman head. Not only is he dismissing the ecological disaster unique to this incident, but also admitting he hasn't done anything to prevent transportation disasters in the two years he's been in his position.
On top of that, Pete Buttigieg and President Biden have decided the area affected does not qualify for FEMA to declare it a disaster area. They believe the air and water are fine, yet videos on social media show just how polluted the waterways are in the affected area. Yet, this same regime, telling people a noxious cloud of poison gasses and toxic runoffs in the water is totally fine, but God forbid you keep your gas stove in your home. Think that's just a right-wing conspiracy? Tell that to Biden Consumer Product Safety Commissioner Richard Trumka, Jr., who is calling for a ban on gas stoves.
Also in the news, thanks to NBC, did you know that natural immunity acquired from a Covid infection is as protective as vaccination against severe illness and death? Imagine that! I am old enough to remember when saying that was considered blasphemy against Science Guy, the NIH, the CDC and everyone else in the dictatorial worldview of a one-size fits all solution that does more harm and doesn't work. Isn't it great being so far ahead of everyone else. Do you think we will get an apology from all of the media who got it wrong for so long?
Finally, we have to get to a couple of more humorous and/or ridiculous stories. We first address the ultra ageist and insensitive comments about women are in the prime when they are in their 20s or 30s, maybe 40s. Having the correct demographics and political leanings can be a pretty impressive shield, because you know a conservative host would have been burned at the stake. Nikki Haley was asked about it and her response is golden.
And, in closing, it seems the Biden regime has wasted millions of dollars in shooting down balloons from various weather and science research clubs. Yes, our Commander-in-Chief, to show how tough he is against our enemies, scrambled jets and shot down balloons belonging to hobby clubs. This is what happens when we put people in charge based on irrelevant descriptors, yet without any qualification whatsoever.
