Today we have to delve into yesterday’s revelation the Marshal of the Supreme Court of the United States of America cannot determine who leaked the Dobbs draft back in May of 2022. There are a little more than 80 people who surround the Justices of the Supreme Court and after 8 months, they are still no where closer to knowing how the draft was leaked nor by whom.
Jonathan Turley, Constitutional expert and law professor at George Mason University, called the finding, “chilling.” He took to Twitter yesterday afternoon and said, “The Supreme Court’s report indicates that they cannot isolate the culprit among the over 80 possible suspects for the Dobbs leak. It is an admission that is almost as chilling as the leak itself…” He then later added, “What is clear is that any hope for a deterrent on such unethical conduct has been dramatically reduced. Thus far, the culprit succeeded in not just leaking the opinion but evading detection.”
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted, “It’s deeply troubling that the Dobbs leaker still has not been found. The Supreme Court depends on trust to deliberate and this leak is incredibly damaging to the Court’s ability to function normally. The leaker must be brought to justice.” Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) tweeted, “The person who did this, whoever it was, put at risk the lives of hundreds of pregnancy care center volunteers, whose centers were attacked and fire bombed, to say nothing of the justices themselves.” Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) put asked, “How haven’t we been able to identify the Dobbs leaker? This is either pure incompetence or willful conduct to hide the Leaker. Either way, a colossal failure.” Even my own representative, Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) said, “After 8 months of investigating one of the biggest leaks in American history, the conclusion of the SCOTUS is: they don’t know? The American people deserve answers.”
We have a few sound bites from Turley where he expresses his largest concern is how to prevent this from happening again if they can’t catch the Dobbs leaker. The best way to disincentivize future leaks is if we can catch this leaker and throw the book at them. Personally, the fact we haven’t figured this out reinforces my thought back in May of 2022 that there has to be more than one person behind it.
The reason I do not trust the current makeup of the DOJ can be illustrated from a breaking news story for yesterday afternoon. The White House and the DOJ both agreed to hide the classified document scandal. They knew about it and chose to conceal it until the CBS story ended up breaking. And, even after that first story broke, they chose not to admit about the further discoveries until another new story broke days later. The Biden regime is anything but transparent, no matter how many time Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre repeats that lie.
To end the week on a lighter note, we have yet another installment of Deep Thoughts with VP Kamala Harris. The Queen of word salad also seems plagued by the fact she believes she is addressing an audience of 8 year old’s every time she delivers a speech. Imagine watching her getting installed as the leader of the free world once Biden is forced out before 2024.
