The Alan Sanders Show

Apr 15, 2022

In today’s episode, we spend time speaking a little more philosophically about what the First Amendment to our Constitution really means. It is amazing to watch so many elites in media and the Democrat party reveal themselves for being anti-First Amendment. After all, how else are we supposed to interpret them in light of Elon Musk’s attempt to buy Twitter?

This attack from Leftists arose right after Elon Musk wrote, “I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy.” For some bizarre reason, those on the extreme Left found this to be an anathema to their very existence. The socialist wokester Max Boot literally wrote that the only way to protect freedom of speech was to have more moderators deciding what’s okay and what’s not. He and others have revealed their love for the Orwellian Thought Police of his book, “1984.”

Whether or not Elon Musk is able to buy Twitter, we should all thank him and remember what his actions have revealed. The Elites in this country believe they know more, have the only answers and are not to be challenged in anyway. They are fine dangling scrapes for the masses and need your support when elections arrive. But, in general, they do not think your ideas, opinions or positions are even worthy to discuss. You are beneath them and therefore insignificant.

The author Joost A.M. Meerloo once said, “The mind that is open for questions is open for dissent. In the totalitarian regime the doubting, inquisitive and imaginative mind has to be suppressed. The totalitarian slave is only allowed to memorize, to salivate when the bell rings.” This sums up today’s legacy media and the Big Tech companies who employ that totalitarian mindset. They do not want you thinking for yourself. Instead, you will be told what to think, what is acceptable and how to behave. Anything outside of their direction is disinformation and there therefore dangerous; not to the Republic, but to their power.

That’s what we are seeing taking place in real-time. The controllers of the narrative are so desperate to keep their power, they are willing to admit they do not trust people with freedom and do not want them to have it. We must continue to remind one another that our freedoms do not come from government. They are ours simply because we exist and we should never sit back and allow anyone to infringe upon them. When we do, we only embolden them to take more away, leaving us with less.
