Today, I wanted to take a more global approach to the discussion over the DOJ and FBI decision to raid Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago. To open, I look back to how I personally thought about Trump in the 2015 primaries. He was not my candidate of choice. And, it seemed the Legacy media was laughing at the Republican party, hoping the “clown” would be the nominee so their anointed candidate, Hillary Clinton, would be able to cake-walk her way to the White House.
But, as we watching more of the GOP names fall off out of the running, I started to pay closer attention to how Donald Trump was being portrayed by the mainstream media versus how the average American voter was seeing him. Yes, he was loud, vulgar, brash and acting too much like a blue-collar construction worker than a politician. That’s when my personal light bulb lit up! He wasn’t a politician and maybe that was a good thing! Our Founders believed those who were called to serve would do so for a short time and then return to the private sector. They never envisioned career politicians in this new experiment we call America. Our government was supposed to be of, by and for the people. It was not supposed to become a den of elites who look down on the vast majority, calling us baskets of deplorables.
Donald Trump really was about winning and making sure America was first. He cared about the everyday, ordinary citizen and could not care less about the elites. That’s why they hate him. That’s why they have been attacking him since he won the election and are still attacking him to this day. And, with each unsuccessful attempt, they ratchet up the next attack to higher and higher levels. We are now at the point where the FBI and the DOJ no longer seems to care about how they are behaving, the lies they are telling and their blatant choice to become the goon squad for the Left.
First we find the FBI raid was conducted because of concerns from the National Archive via the Presidential Records Act. This has never happened before in our history. Within 24 hours we find they search warrant wasn’t specific as Garland implied, by so general is can only be called a fishing expedition. So, the DOJ leaks to the Washington Post the notion the raid was really about retrieving nuclear weapons related information. In fact, that’s why it was so urgent. Then it turned into finding documents classified at Top Secret: SCI. That must mean Trump was an imminent threat to the national security of our nation, which is why the raid had to happen to suddenly. Only, we now know Merrick Garland sat on this for weeks before signing off on the raid. So, how urgent could it really be?
So much of this continues to make it look like the DOJ and the FBI are in the wrong and Donald Trump is once again an innocent victim. To prove that one step more, Trump publicly said the FBI went through everything, even not related to his presidency, to include taking three of his passports.
Because they cannot help themselves, Norah O’Donnell with CBS news tweeted, “According to a DOJ official, the FBI is NOT in possession of former President Trump’s passports.” Immediately, disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok quoted her tweet adding, “And, unsurprisingly, Trump’s statement turns out not to be true.” David Frum, senior editor at the Atlantic, tweeted, “It’s remarkable that even at this late date, there are people who react to uncorroborated Trump claims as if true.” And finally, J6 Committee anti-Trumper, Adam Kinzinger, tweeted, “Lies lies lies and more lies.”
Why do we tend to believe Donald Trump and no one in the mainstream media, on the Left or those suffering Trump Derangement Syndrome? Less than a day went by with so many jumping on the “liar” bandwagon only to find out the DOJ had to admit the FBI did, in fact, take his passports. Yes, there was a lot of lying going on, but it wasn’t coming from Donald Trump.
