Well, the Biden Administration is throwing a party and patting themselves on their backs. President Joe Biden himself told all of us there was no inflation in the month of July. Zero. Nada. Zilch. Zip. Nothing. Isn’t that great? I’m sure everyone within the sound of my voice is overjoyed to see inflation is over and we are back to a booming, amazing economy! And I guess there is no longer a need for the Inflation Protection Act to be passed, right?
Needless to say, no matter how much magic-thinking the White House like to employ, those of use here in the real world see exactly how bad it is. Yes, the Consumer Price Index fell from 9.1% for June to 8.5% for July. But, it is still at 8.5%! And the real reason for the drop has nothing to do with this Administration. Fuel demand continues to drop due to the price at the pump. How do we know that? Because the core CPI (which takes out food and fuel) is at 5.9%, which is exactly where it was last month.
CNN is doing their best to help with the propaganda, putting out the following headline: “US inflation took a breather in July, thanks to the falling cost of food and gas…” Unfortunately, for those who took the time to read the WHOLE article, we come across this nugget, “However, food costs continue to jump sharply, increasing by 1.1% over the month and rising 10.9% on a year-over-year basis, the largest increase since May 1979.”
Shifting to the FBI Raid of Mar-a-Lago, we have learned more and it is becoming more distressing by the day. You would think, to avoid any sense of wrongdoing, the FBI and the DOJ attorneys who raided the home of former president Donald Trump would bend over backwards to be transparent. But, in true totalitarian fashion, they demanded all security cameras be shut off, all staff to wait outside and then proceeded to go room to room, looking for anything and everything.
According to sources, the warrant was under the Presidential Records Act, meaning they were looking for classified documents. Turns out that back in May and June of this year, the FBI wanted to see the documents, which has been boxed up and shipped to Mar-a-Lago by the General Services Administration (GSA). So, the FBI, already knew where the records were and had been through them before.
Yet, for some reason, they needed over 9 hours of unsupervised access to the whole of Trump’s estate, including a ransacking of Melania Trump’s wardrobe. This has led to Trump and others to suggest the FBI may have used that time to plant evidence. In true irony, while the unhinged Leftists and sufferers of Trump Derangement Syndrome scoff and such a conspiracy, the retrial of the supposed assassination attempt on Gov. Whitmer (D-MI) opened today with this bit of testimony: “The FBI informant planted explosives material in the truck of the defendant so the FBI could confiscate the evidence upon arrest.”
Nope, nothing to see here, folks. It all seems legit.
What’s interesting is the White House, according to Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, knew nothing. No briefing. No phone call. No heads-up. Nada. A major raid on a former president, the first in history since the Presidential Records Act was passed in 1978, and no one thought Joe Biden needed to know. Either this Administration is so dysfunctional, no one seems to care about communicating with the President, or the White House is lying to distance themselves. Either way, there is egg on someone’s face in the Executive Branch and no amount of magic-thinking is going to make it disappear.
